In the Sites section from Office 365 we can find, by default, two shortcuts:
- Team Site;
- Public site.
Among those two link, we can see here a list of the site that I am following.
In this page, we can add a new shortcut/link to a favorite site.
How to add a Promoted Site?
- click on the Manage link;
- click on Add a promoted site;
Now, we have to fill in the required fields (we can also fill in the optional ones).
- link location;
- background image location.
To exit from edit mode, click on the click here link.
Now we fave another favorite site.
We can notice that before we hove the mouse cursor over the tile, we can see the background image and the title.
If we hove the mouse over the tile, we can see the title and the site description.
It seems that the sites that are shown in the Promoted Sites section are visible to all users.
What it’s not visible to all users, are the site that the current user is following.
If the user doesn’t have admin rights, he can’t add a new promoted site.
